Represented as the most original of the sixteen genuine 1957 XKSSs, chassis XKSS 728 was laid up in storage from 1968 for some thirty years before selling at Christie's Pebble Beach auction in 1998. It still carries its original chassis, body and matching-numbers engine, down to the sand-cast Weber carburettors, gearbox and rear axle. The odometer reads just 14,425 miles from new.
