Grande & Petite Sonnerie Wristwatch No. 1

Philippe Dufour · Grande & Petite Sonnerie

Grande & Petite Sonnerie Wristwatch No. 1

$5,200,000

The world's first grande et petite sonnerie minute-repeating wristwatch, unveiled by Dufour at Baselworld 1992 after two and a half years spent miniaturizing the two-train chiming movement. This 41mm yellow-gold example carries movement No. 1 of the roughly eight ever made — the first wristwatch Dufour ever built. Sold for CHF 4,749,000 (about USD 5.2 million) at Phillips' Geneva Watch Auction: XIV in November 2021, a world record for a watch by an independent watchmaker. Market-priced at auction — the figure shown reflects recent auction results.

Complimentary non-delivery on all orders.
